Rockville is Maryland’s third-largest city, home to 61,209 of the finest people you could ever hope to meet.  We are the county seat of Montgomery County, which lies immediately northwest of Washington, D.C.  It is but a 17.6-mile drive from Rockville City Hall to the White House, and a pleasant drive at that.

Rockville is well-known for its beautiful and extensive park system, the able governance of its Mayor and Council, and its children, all of whom are above average.

The City’s Wikipedia page is here, and it will give you far more and better detail than I could hope to provide here, given that much of it was cribbed from Eileen S. McGuckian’s 2001 excellent Rockville: Portrait of a City.

Rockville’s city government has a terrific and helpful website.  We are covered by Rockville Patch and the Gazette newspaper.
